Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. You will work within our imaging team to provide careful, compassionate, and accurate imaging services for patients.

The role requires graduation from a Nuclear Medicine program, Florida licensure, ARRT(N)/CNMT, and BLS. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend call and opportunities for ongoing education within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a Nuclear Medicine program.
• Active Florida CRT licensure required.
• Minimum 1–3 years of Nuclear Medicine technologist experience.
• ARRT(N) and/or CNMT certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages.
• Perform diagnostic studies with scanners and cameras.
• Position patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Nuclear Medical Technologist

(Monday-Friday with rotating weekend call)

Our Imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans


• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders


• Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film


• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices


• Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns


• Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program


• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)


• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist


• Current ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification


• Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)


• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
