Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a professional medical organization dedicated to the healing mission of Medicine. CCP specializes in comprehensive cardiology care and has over 35 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our Lansdale, PA location.
Note: This role includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess patients using established procedures, providing instructions and answering questions. Prepare patients by placing IVs, electrodes, etc., according to protocols. Obtain necessary consent.
- Perform imaging procedures following established guidelines, modifying techniques as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Process clinical studies promptly, report abnormal results to physicians for follow-up.
- Assist with stress testing, monitor patient responses, and provide emergency care when needed. Monitor post-stress patients and communicate issues to staff.
- Maintain accurate records and databases in compliance with regulations. Archive studies and prepare documentation for patient charts and referring physicians.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, staff meetings, and relevant surveys.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in medical records, documenting evaluations, procedures, and results per standards.
- Report patient or equipment issues to the Medical Director or designee.
- Prepare for and participate in NRC and state inspections.
- Engage in research projects as directed.
- Manage hot lab duties, including handling radioactive materials according to NRC and state regulations.
- Conduct quality control testing, evaluate equipment performance, and report issues to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of clinical nuclear medicine experience, with at least 1 year in nuclear cardiology or 2 years in clinical nuclear cardiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in computer skills is essential.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus.
