A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team in Irvine, CA. The incumbent will perform a variety of in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to safety protocols. Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for the performance of the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsible for the provision of quality patient care, including the timely throughput of patients and the performance of their exams. Operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment including, gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET / CT scanner, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition and reformatting. The incumbent is responsible for performing necessary scans and procedures to aid in scanner qualification for research trials. Creates and programs study specific protocols including administration, imaging and reformatting under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director. Requirements include working On-Call and working.
