Responsibilities:

• Interact compassionately with patients and colleagues, demonstrating listening skills, dignity, and respect. Collaborate effectively within the department and with other departments to expedite patient care.
• Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explain procedures to alleviate fears, and solicit cooperation.
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges accurately entered.
• Maintain records of radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocols during procedures. Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition. Document patient history electronically as required.
• Calculate, measure, and record patient doses according to departmental policies and radiation safety guidelines.
• Perform nuclear medicine exams proficiently, producing high-quality results.
• Conduct quality control checks on imaging and non-imaging equipment to ensure proper performance.
