Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform specialty imaging procedures and work closely with physicians, nurses, radiologists, and imaging staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, monitor patients, and maintain safety and regulatory standards while optimizing workflow and contributing to teaching and research within the academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT NM) or CNMT within 6 months of hire.
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.

Experience: None

Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or CNMT certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Physical Demands

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to, cold, dust, noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $40.96 - $54.30 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
