POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine (NM) exam(s)/procedures for diagnostic purposes. Receives direction from: Radiology Leadership.

EDUCATION:

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS, required
• ARRT or NMTCB certified, required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology principles and procedures.
• Working knowledge of radiation safety requirements for staff and patients.
• Skill in injection of radiopharmaceuticals for imaging procedure.
• Keyboarding and the use of computer systems to process patient and department information,
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conduction nuclear medicine procedures.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position
