Job summary

BIDMC is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 26-week onsite contract in Boston, MA. The role requires PET/CT experience, ARRT (N) or CNMT, MA RT license if not held, and BLS-AHA certification. Expect 72 guaranteed hours biweekly across day shifts with training included.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, radiotracer handling, and PACS image transfers. Training Week 1–2 (Mon-Fri 10:00–18:30). Post-training schedule is 8h/day, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an academic medical center, preferably with PET/CT.
• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required.
• MA RT license required if not currently held.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• Experience with PET/CT and radiopharmaceutical handling highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and glucometer operations for patient prep and monitoring.
• Operate Siemens Biograph mCT 64 and Medrad Intego injector for imaging procedures.
• Handle and administer unit doses of FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, Cerianna, as assigned.
• Push DICOM images to MIM and McKesson PACS systems; document and verify charges.
• Screen patients prior to exams; ensure proper cleaning of incubation rooms and hotlab.
• Stock supplies in incubation rooms; maintain compliance with ALARA and USP radiation safety.
