Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapy. You will work closely with physicians to ensure safe and accurate acquisition of images and data needed for diagnosis and treatment.

Candidates must have a Nuclear Medicine Technology program credential or an associate degree with ARRT/NMTCB certification, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Certification must be achieved within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for certification if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
• Operate imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, accurate image acquisition.

Responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients and operating imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes. Works closely with physicians to ensure the safe and accurate acquisition of images and data needed for diagnosing and treating diseases

REQUIRED

1. Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program AND Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or NMTCB OR meets the eligibility requirements for certification. Certification must be achieved within 6 months of hire/transfer.

OR

Associate's Degree or higher AND Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or NMTCB

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
