Job summary

Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, MS, seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. The role involves preparing radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining records in compliance with NRC/state standards.

You will collaborate with Radiologists, Cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in nuclear medicine procedures required.
• 2–4 years in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per protocol and orders.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals following safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Operates and calibrates imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET scanners) for image quality.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and regulatory records.
• Ensures radiation safety and proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
