Job summary

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced nuclear medicine technologist for a permanent role with a regional healthcare client in Ohio. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.

The role requires a nuclear medicine technology degree or equivalent, OH licensure, and BLS certification, with experience in diagnostic/therapeutic nuclear medicine and stress testing preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine in Ohio
• BLS certification required
• Newly licensed technologists acceptable
• Experience with diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
• Experience with stress testing preferred
• Familiarity with relevant medical equipment listed in the tools section
• Ability to work varied day shifts including weekends and holidays

Job description

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced nuclear med tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you’ll work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology, or equivalent educational credential.
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine in Ohio.
• BLS certification.
• Newly licensed nuclear medicine technologists are acceptable.
• Experience with diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
• Experience with stress testing and working with stress test nurses preferred.
• Familiarity with dose calibrator, Geiger counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe, glucometer, stress lab EKG machines and treadmills, blood pressure devices, and pulse oximeter.
• Ability to work varied day shifts. Typical schedules include M-F day shift with rotating call, weekends, and holidays. Shift hours may include 6:00am–4:30pm (10s), or 6:30am–3:00pm, 7:00am–3:30pm, 7:30am–4:00pm (8s).
• Capacity to function in a fast-paced hospital environment and work directly with multidisciplinary teams.
