Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The role requires independence, strong safety practices, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Qualified candidates hold NMTCB or NMT, Texas MRT, ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification, and BLS. NMTCB PET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
• MRT Texas state licensure
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current BLS provider (AHA or ARC)
• Cross-training requires supervision with modality cert within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician.
• Applies isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with sound judgment.
• Manages tests for in-patients and out-patients.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals per scope of practice.
• Demonstrates radiation safety practices

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
• MRT State of Texas
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• If current employee participating in a cross-training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
