Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our radiology team. Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform general radiographic procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals with care, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging.

Candidates must hold NMTCB or NMT certification, Texas MRT, ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification, and BLS. Experience with PET/CT and PET certification preferred; strong attention to radiation safety and patient

Qualifications

• Certification as NMTCB or NMT is required.
• Current MRT license for Texas.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with a high degree of independent judgment and initiative.
• Perform tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrate industry in radiation safety.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
• MRT State of Texas
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• If current employee participating in a cross-training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
