Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform radiographic procedures and manage radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision. You will work with Nuclear Medicine cameras and isotopes, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging.

The role requires NMTCB or NMT certification, Texas MRT license, and ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification. NMTCB PET certification is a plus, with a strong emphasis on radiation safety and patient care throughout the department.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or NMT.
• MRT license for the state of Texas.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification.
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
• Current BLS provider.

Responsibilities

• Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment.
• Perform tests on in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
• MRT State of Texas
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• If current employee participating in a cross-training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
