Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Specialist for PRN/rotating shifts at our Fort Worth facility. The role focuses on imaging procedures, patient care, and equipment operation within a full-service Radiology department.

The candidate must hold ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification and CNMT/CMRT credentials upon hire, with BCLS ongoing. 2 years in nuclear medicine preferred, and a rotating, as-needed schedule offers flexibility and growth within a leading health system.

Qualifications

  • ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification required on hire or
  • CNMT certification required on hire
  • CMRT certification required on hire
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Responsibilities

  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam.
  • Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest.
  • Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions in patient care.
  • Assesses and recognizes patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
  • Adjusts technical factors as needed.
  • Operates, cares for and maintains imaging equipment.
  • Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement.
  • Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor.

Education

ARRT - Nuclear Medicine (required on hire)
CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) required
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (TDH or TMB) required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (required)
Other graduate of accredited radiologic program or nuclear medicine
Associate's Degree preferred
