Texas Health Resources seeks a Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join the Plano facility on a PRN, day shift. The role involves explaining procedures, positioning patients, and performing complex nuclear medicine exams with high cardiac case volume.

Collaboration with radiologists and other modalities is essential, with emphasis on image quality and patient care. Prerequisites include ARRT NM, CNMT/CMRT credentials, BCLS, and associates degree with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine is required.
• Associates Degree preferred and 2 years in nuclear medicine preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification and CNMT/CMRT credentials are required upon hire.
• BCLS certification must be current prior to providing independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam.
• Position patient to the correct anatomical area of interest.
• Perform complex procedures with age related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Adjust technique parameters for age related factors and assist radiologist.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure image quality; troubleshoot as needed.
• Send and transfer images to PACS and coordinate with scheduling and other modalities.
