Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Nuclear Medicine Radiologists to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Lexington VA Healthcare System located at 1101 Veterans Dr., Lexington, KY 40502. Shift scheduling is generally Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Both full-time and Locum Tenens positions with competitive compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient care in Nuclear Medicine procedures, including but not limited to General Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT.
2. Consult with and instruct referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for radiologic procedures.
3. Determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate with referring clinicians in person or by phone.
4. Ensure pre- and post-procedure technical oversight and provide feedback to technologists and nurses.
5. Administer and supervise the use of drugs necessary for imaging examinations.
6. Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions, coordinated with subsequent care settings for emergency department patients.

Qualifications

1. Board Certified in Radiology.
2. Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
3. NPI report printout.
4. Active DEA license.
5. Ability to pass a federal background investigation.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Lift up to 20 lbs.
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
