Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Per Diem Nuclear Medicine/PET technologist to perform high-quality studies in accordance with NRC/ACR/NJDEP standards. You will support our mission by contributing to safe imaging practices and accurate patient care across our NJ facilities.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in Nuclear Medicine, PET experience, and NJ licensure for fusion imaging or ARRT(N) with relevant credentials. The role requires precise technique and collaboration with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in Nuclear Medicine required.
• Minimum of 1 year PET experience preferred.
• Current NJ license in Fusion Imaging CT with CNMT/NMTCB or ARRT CT/N, fulfilling NJDEP Fusion license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET studies per radiologist protocols and established standards.
• Prepare patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals; demonstrate venipuncture where needed.
• Maintain quality control, ensure timely reporting and accurate documentation.
• Safely handle radiopharmaceuticals and minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Utilize RIS, PACS, and hospital computer systems while preserving patient confidentiality.
• Respond to schedule changes and cover shifts as required across Virtua Health locations.
