Job Summary & Qualifications

Operates imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images and supervises the flow of patients through the Imaging Services Departments. The Nuclear Medicine Tech Lead is responsible for daily operation of the Imaging Section, coordinating patient scheduling and daily work assignments, serving as a resource for Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and suggesting changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement. The role includes coordinating training and development of imaging specialists, maintaining cost control, and staying within the targeted budget. The incumbent must be proficient in performing complex and specialized nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures, using a variety of equipment and computers, and performing basic maintenance and QA/QC.

Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • (ARRT‑R) Radiography certification.
  • Certificate or graduation from a vocational school.
  • (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or (NMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • 2‑3 years of full‑time nuclear medicine clinical experience.
