Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist to oversee daily workflow in the Nuclear Medicine/PET area and coordinate patient flow under the Nuclear Medicine Manager.

Responsibilities include staff orientation, performance assessment for merit increases, quality assessment and accreditation readiness, and ensuring accurate coding of procedures; the role may cover imaging supervisor duties when needed and involves SPECT and PET imaging support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification and/or Ohio License required.
• 2 years of relevant experience required; 4-6 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow, daily assignments, and patient flow in the Nuclear Medicine/PET area.
• Provide quality assessment activities and accreditation preparedness under the Nuclear Medicine Manager.
• Orient new staff and assess technologists’ performance for merit increases.
• Ensure accuracy of coding for procedures performed in the department.
• Cover Imaging Supervisor/Manager responsibilities when needed.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine in vivo and in vitro procedures and support physicians with images and data.
