Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist who will perform diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging and ensure high-quality images. You will obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address concerns to provide comfort while operating and maintaining imaging equipment.

The role requires AM A-approved nuclear medicine training, ARRT NM or NMTCB registration, and current BLS certification. Full-time position with day shifts and on-site work at Michigan facilities.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine.
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging.
  • Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence.
  • Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment.
  • Performs diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
  • Properly identifies, prepares and administers medications within scope of practice.
