Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Chapel Hill, NC, to perform and teach diagnostic procedures. You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate technical instruments, and analyze data under the supervision of specialist physicians.

The successful candidate should have graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program and be registered with ARRT or NMTCB within a year. A certification in Basic Life Support is also required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or registry-eligible within one year.
• Maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record radiopharmaceuticals.
• Describe exam to patients and obtain informed consent.
• Perform patient assessments and confirm pregnancy status if applicable.
• Handle radiopharmaceuticals according to safety guidelines.
• Analyze and evaluate images for correctness.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program

Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT or NMTCB)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
