Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current or temporary Nuclear Medicine license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• If performing CT imaging in addition to Nuclear Medicine, hold one of the WV licensing options described.

Responsibilities

• Attends departmental meetings and activities to support progress improvement.
• Performs a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and/or treatment procedures.
• Plans imaging procedures to meet performance and safety standards.
• Minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Reports equipment failures immediately to ensure continued radiology services.
• Assess patients' needs related to comfort and hygiene and provide support.
• Act as a clinical and/or didactic instructor per program requirements.
