Description

The Associate Chief Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, supports the Chief Technologist in managing day-to-day clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role combines hands-on clinical expertise with administrative oversight, serving as a key resource to technologists and helping to maintain workflow, regulatory compliance, and service standards. The Associate Chief steps in during the Chief's absence and plays a critical role in maintaining continuity across operations, supporting staff development, and promoting best practices in imaging procedures.

Salary Range: $54.07-123.04/hr

  Valid California Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine (CRT-NM) license issued by the California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB).

  Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.

  Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

  At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or lead technologist experience in a nuclear medicine or hybrid imaging setting.

  Proficiency in general nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures.

  Strong knowledge of radiation safety, quality control, and compliance with state (CDPH-RHB) and federal (NRC, TJC) regulations.

  Experience in training, mentoring, or education.

  Familiarity with imaging systems such as PACS, RIS, and Epic Radiant.

  Certification in CT (ARRT (CT)) if working in PET/CT hybrid imaging environments.

  Prior involvement in training, quality assurance, or accreditation preparation (e.g., IAC, TJC).
