Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams, supporting patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program, 1 year of clinical experience, certification (CNMT or ARRT NM) within 6 months, and current BLS. On-site duties include on-call rotation with a focus on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • 1-year clinical experience in nuclear medicine program.
  • CNMT within 6 months of hire date or ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification.
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams and procedures to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Works with Gundersen Health System patients and families to provide compassionate, individualized care.
  • Understands and applies nuclear medicine concepts when performing examinations on patients.
  • Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation.
  • Delivers high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

What you will do:
  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly), Full-time Shifts: first shift with scheduled on call rotation. Performs high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Works with Gundersen Health System patients and their families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of Nuclear Medicine services.
  • Understands and applies the concepts of Nuclear Medicine when performing examinations on patients.
  • Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation.
  • Provides high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
What You’ll Need:
  • Post High School education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
  • 1-year clinical experience in nuclear medicine program.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) within 6 months of hire date or American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist- Nuclear Medicine (ARRT)
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
