Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Cytotechnologist to screen and report gynecological cytology samples and refer abnormal cases to the pathologist. You will also screen non-gynecological specimens for abnormalities prior to pathologist review.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Emplify Health by Gundersen is adding a Cytotechnologist to our Pathology team.
As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for the screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases and identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist. You are also responsible for the screening of non-gynecological specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to the pathologist examination of the specimen.
Fulltime - 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE) Day shifts, no weekends, holidays, or call required Starting pay of $37.40 per hour and up based on your years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology from an accredited school of cytotechnology OR certified by a certification agency approved by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
A copy of the applicant's/employee's diploma and/or transcript as confirmation of the education requirement must be provided at time of hire American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Cytotechnologist Certification Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
