Job summary

A leading healthcare provider seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform PET/CT imaging and provide patient care. The ideal candidate will have ARRT or NMTCB certification and be capable of working independently and handling responsibilities related to radionuclide safety and quality imaging procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB approved program.
  • Newly graduated technologists should work unattended after six months.
  • Experienced technologists should operate independently within one month.

Location: AdventHealth Deland – 701 W. Plymouth Ave., Deland, FL

The role you’ll contribute:

2/28/22 Performs Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Imaging studies. Handles, administers, calculates dosage and prepares Radionuclide. Acts as Radiation Safety Officer for AHI. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and departmental standards. Assists in Radiology department as needed. Promotes Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT services to physician referrers for AHI.

  • Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Imaging studies.
  • Handles, administers, calculates dosage and prepares Radionuclides as required.
  • Positions patient and equipment, changes collimators, selects technical factors, and processes data to produce quality imaging meeting Radiologist standards, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Uses Syncor computer to maintain radioactive material records, quality assurance records, and disposal records as per department policy and State regulations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be a graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB approved program with current ARRT or NMTCB registration.
  • Newly graduated technologists should be able to work unattended shifts with only occasional guidance needed within six months.
  • Experienced technologists should be able to work independently within one month.
