Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform a full range of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety standards.

This position requires graduation from a medical imaging program, state licenses (WV preferred), ARRT/NMTCB certification within six months, and Basic Life Support within 30 days.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
  • Must possess Nuclear Medicine license as required by state where services will be provided.
  • ARRT NM or NMTCB certification required within six months of hire.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and/or treatment procedures.
  • Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce high-quality medical images.
  • Minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff per policy and guidelines.
  • Reports equipment failures promptly to ensure radiology service continuity.
  • Assesses patient comfort and provides support during procedures.
  • Acts as clinical/instructor for radiology education programs as needed.

Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce medical images for the diagnosis or treatment of patients meeting the quality standards of the department as identified through professional literature and department protocol, policy and procedure. 5. Minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff in accordance with Radiation Safety Department policy, procedure and guidelines as well as State, Federal, The Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory bodies. 6. Reports equipment failures immediately upon identification using identified communication mechanism to ensure the performance of radiology services. 7. Assesses patients’ needs related to comfort, hygiene and range of motion and provides support accordingly. 8. Performs as a clinical and/or didactic instructor meeting the quality standards of the radiology education program(s) as identified through professional literature, department and radiology education program(s) protocol, policy and procedure.**For facilities with specialty accreditation requirements:**1.
