The position is located in Lenexa, KS.

Responsibilities
  • Perform integrated engineering processes to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates.
  • Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in compliance with engineering principles and applicable standards.
  • Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines.
  • Recognizes, defines, and resolves problems within assigned area.
  • Compliance with strict quality assurance standards and on-time delivery.
  • Travel (less than 20% of time).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in design.
  • Knowledge, application and understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability for producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g. interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T).
  • Experience with using industry codes to develop equipment design.
  • Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings.
  • Experience in the preparation of P&ID, PFD, and General Arrangement drawings for skid mounted or permanent equipment packages.

  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively, following oral and written instructions.
  • Work during normal operating hours and be available for overtime and weekends as required.
