Entergy Louisiana is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I-Sr Lead (Nuc) in St. Francisville, LA to identify and resolve plant issues, coordinating between engineering, operations, and maintenance teams. The role involves maintaining configuration control and supporting outages and major projects.

The position requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar power-plant related degree, and experience ranging from entry to senior level with potential for SRO or PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum: B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree associated with power plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and Operations and Maintenance departments.
• Supports maintenance and operations in resolution of plant issues from significant events or complex plant problems.
• Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost-effective maintenance strategies; issues engineering changes (design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and reliability.
• Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle.
• Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via corrective action and work management processes.
• Develops engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures; participates in project teams for critical outages.
• Serves on outage engineering support teams; attends training and maintains qualifications.
