Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer I-Sr (Nuc) for Central Design Engineering in St. Francisville, LA. This onsite role supports modification design, licensing, and integration with the Nuclear Fleet, handling diverse engineering tasks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position allows progression from Engineer I to Senior Lead based on experience, with responsibilities spanning design, testing, and maintenance strategy development for safety-critical electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in Operations IT, Design or Systems engineering teams implementing modifications.
• Proficiency with nuclear design software (e.g., ANSYS, ETAP, ME101, PipeFlo, MathCad, PDMS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost-effective modifications to improve plant performance and reliability.
• Prepare engineering products compliant with standards and regulatory guidelines to maintain design and licensing basis.
• Assist in solving issues affecting safe, reliable operations and propose process improvements.
• Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, engineering, and fleet organizations.
• Manage engineering work assignments to meet department needs.
• Communicate technical information clearly at all levels of the organization.
• Evaluate effects of radiated emissions on plant equipment and EM/RF susceptibility.
• Implement configuration controls for electrical systems and components.
• Coordinate electrical design activities with plant simulator personnel and assess simulator impacts.
• Determine preventive and predictive maintenance requirements and test systems.
