Job summary

ReNuke Services, Inc. in York, SC seeks a Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer SME to support our client site for a 36-month engagement.

The role focuses on the design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant mechanical systems, including piping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC, and fluid systems. You will read drawings, perform calculations, support procurement and modification tests, and contribute to engineering change processes within established codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret plant drawings, flow diagrams, isometrics, piping support drawings, equipment arrangements, vendor documents, and mechanical calculations.

• Perform engineering evaluations, calculations, equipment troubleshooting, and modification design activities.
• Support procurement engineering and creation of procurement specifications.

ReNuke Services is seeking a Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer SME for our client"s site in York, SC!

DESCRIPTION:

• An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in the design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant mechanical systems. Experience with any or all of the following is desired: piping systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, fluid systems, structural supports, and mechanical equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, configuration management, equipment operability, system interactions, and applicable industry codes and standards. Familiarity with nuclear plant design basis requirements, engineering programs, and engineering change processes.
• Ability to perform engineering evaluations, calculations, equipment troubleshooting, procurement engineering support, and modification design activities. Ability to read and interpret plant drawings and technical documents, flow diagrams, isometrics, piping support drawings, equipment arrangement drawings, vendor documents, and mechanical calculations. Ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team, be self-motivated, exercise flexibility, and take personal responsibility for assigned accountabilities.
