Job summary

ReNuke Services, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Civil Design Engineer SME for a 36-month engagement at our client's site in York, SC.

The candidate will oversee civil/structural design activities for nuclear plant systems, with emphasis on reinforced concrete structures, structural steel, and seismic evaluations. The role requires reading complex plant drawings and participating in engineering change processes, evaluations, and the preparation of design inputs, calculations, and licensing

Qualifications

• Experience in civil/structural design for nuclear plants.
• Familiar with codes and standards for nuclear civil/structural engineering.
• Ability to perform evaluations, calculations, and field walkdowns.

ReNuke Services is seeking a Nuclear Civil Design Engineer SME for our client\"s site in York, SC!

DESCRIPTION:

• An experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer with a strong background in the design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant civil and structural systems. Experience with any or all of the following is desired: reinforced concrete structures, structural steel, equipment foundations, seismic evaluations, masonry structures, underground structures, anchorage systems, structural supports, and site civil infrastructure. Strong understanding of civil/structural engineering principles, configuration management, equipment qualification, design basis requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards. Familiarity with nuclear plant engineering programs and engineering change processes.
• Ability to perform engineering evaluations, calculations, structural analyses, field walkdowns, procurement engineering support, and modification design activities. Ability to read and interpret plant drawings and technical documents including structural drawings, rebar drawings, concrete details, site drawings, foundation drawings, piping and equipment support drawings, vendor documents, calculations, and specifications. Ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team, be self-motivated, exercise flexibility, and take personal responsibility for assigned accountabilities.
• Some of the key products this individual will be responsible for reviewing and/or producing include: Engineering Change Basedocs, Engineering Evaluations, Civil/Structural Calculations, Procurement Specifications, Design Inputs, Structural Analysis Reports, Equipment Anchor Evaluations, Seismic Evaluations, Plant Drawings, Bill of Materials, and supporting design and licensing documentation.
