Job summary

Airswift is seeking a qualified engineer to support nuclear plant mechanical systems in York, South Carolina. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience performing mechanical system engineering, design engineering, or modification engineering within a commercial nuclear plant environment.
• Experience supporting engineering changes involving mechanical systems, equipment replacement, procurement engineering, operability evaluations, and field implementation.
• Experience reviewing and producing engineering change documentation, engineering evaluations, mechanical calculations, modification test plans, equipment database records, plant drawings, bills of materials, and supporting design and licensing documentation.
• Strong background in the design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of piping systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC, fluid systems, structural supports, and mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, configuration management, equipment operability, system interactions, and industry codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret plant drawings and technical documents, including flow diagrams, isometrics, piping support drawings, equipment arrangement drawings, vendor documents, and mechanical calculations.
• Ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision, demonstrate flexibility, and take responsibility for deliverables.
• Familiarity with ASME Section III, ASME Section XI, B31.1, and related nuclear industry requirements.
