Job summary

Kairos Power seeks a dedicated Licensing Engineer with a strong background in instrumentation and controls (I&C), and electrical engineering experience. This role supports the development of KP-FHR reactor facility licensing applications and regulatory submittals, with training provided in licensing and regulatory processes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical Eng. or related field.
• 4+ years in facility or system engineering design, analysis, construction, or implementation; I&C and electrical engineering experience highly preferred.
• Experience in PSAR/FSAR development and licensing considerations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop licensing content for reactor facility I&C and electrical systems, focusing on reactor protection, sensors, and power systems.
• Support planning, development and defense of Kairos license applications.
• Assist pre-application meetings with the USNRC.
• Develop licensing strategies to support license application development and execution.
• Coordinate with engineering and safety analysis teams to prepare regulatory documentation.
