Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking a Nuclear Instrument & Control Tech Apprentice-Shift in Shippingport, PA. The role involves working under supervision in labs, shops and radiological areas to install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and test I&C equipment used in nuclear plant operations.

The program leads to progression in the I&C Training Program, with emphasis on electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems.

Qualifications

• A two-year post-high school education or equivalent in the applicable field.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and control circuits.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical measurements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and controls.
• Maintain calibration and operation of I&C systems in radiological areas.
• Assist engineers in tests and setup of station equipment.
• Complete required documentation and follow regulatory procedures.
