Job summary

Valar Atomics in Orangeville, Utah is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation systems used in nuclear energy applications. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or technical certification in relevant fields and experience in electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial electrical or instrumentation experience required.
• Familiarity with NEC, ISA standards, NFPA 70 is essential.
• Strong operational judgment and ability to make technically defensible decisions.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 120V–480V AC electrical systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

Skills

Electrical and control system theory

Troubleshooting skills

Ability to read wiring diagrams

Knowledge of NEC and ISA standards

Education

Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance
