Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an I&C Project Engineer for the Surry Digital I&C Program at the Surry Nuclear Station in Surry, VA. The role focuses on upgrading analog systems to digital technology, supporting safety and non-safety-related systems with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include architecture decision-making, design reviews, testing support, and technical oversight. The candidate should have extensive nuclear I&C experience and a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of instrumentation & controls design engineering in a power generating station with nuclear background.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety system I&C architecture concepts and scoping.
• Review and prepare engineering packages, specs, calculations, and hazard analyses.
• Oversee contracted engineering work for adherence to standards and quality.
• Provide technical support for Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and simulations.
• Interface with suppliers and stakeholders for technical reviews.
• Analyze risk and mitigation strategies in designs.
• Report status to engineering leaders and project management.
