Job summary

The position requires a BS/MS in engineering and 4+ years in related design or licensing activities; nuclear licensing experience is not required. Travel 25–35% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in facility or system engineering design, analysis, construction, qualification, or implementation.
• I&C and electrical engineering experience preferred; nuclear licensing training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop licensing content for reactor I&C and electrical systems, focusing on reactor protection, sensors, and plant control.
• Support planning, development and defense of Kairos license applications.
• Coordinate pre-application meetings with USNRC and develop licensing strategies.
• Lead resolution of regulatory issues and translate requirements into design needs.
• Collaborate with engineering and safety analysis teams to prepare regulatory documents.
