Job summary

Holtec International in Camden, NJ, seeks a Director, Regulatory Affairs & Licensing - Nuclear to lead Holtec’s licensing program for spent fuel storage and transport. You will interface with the U.S.

NRC and international regulators, guiding licensing strategy and cross-functional execution across engineering and project teams. With 10+ years in nuclear licensing, you will own regulatory processes, drive risk mitigation, and ensure quality and compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial or naval nuclear industry with licensing and engineering background.
  • Strong familiarity with U.S. NRC regulations, processes, and licensing pathways.
  • Proven experience managing complex regulatory programs and interactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute licensing applications for spent fuel storage and transport domestically and internationally.
  • Interface with the U.S. NRC and international regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee preparation, review, and approval of licensing correspondence and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and leadership to ensure licensing alignment.
  • Provide technical guidance on licensing and regulatory matters throughout the lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain licensing basis materials, reports, and project updates.
  • Identify licensing risks and mitigation strategies for project success.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, industry standards, and internal quality requirements.
  • Own Holtec’s 10CFR72.48 change control program.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Direct contact with Holtec clients to guide compliance issues.
  • Support business development for proposals and prospective client support.
