Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions, a leading nuclear construction firm, is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support on-site engineering tasks across nuclear projects. You will interpret and adjust designs for site conditions, manage technical issues, and ensure construction aligns with specifications.

As the field engineer, you will collaborate with Construction Managers, perform quality inspections, monitor submittals, and assist in safety and environmental controls while enabling project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is required.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication with management, customers, peers and craft personnel.
• Ability to conduct field verifications of construction work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and codes.
• Collaborative problem solving between design engineers and field personnel.
• Knowledge of basic construction engineering principles.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and closeout.
• Maintains records of installed quantities and completed construction work.
• Participates in obtaining permits/clearances, lockouts, Escort Agreements, and work authorizations before starting work on site.
• Performs verification of work to ensure safety, quality, environmental control, and schedule adherence.
• Assists in preparing procedures, and administrative and technical documents.
• May prepare/approve purchase requisitions for materials and services.
• Reviews Lessons Learned and collaborates with corporate personnel and other projects.
