Job summary

University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) invites applications for a Facility Project Manager to oversee projects in nuclear, radiological, and biopharmaceutical domains. Lean on PMBOK practices, coordinate with Planning, Design, and Construction, and report to the Senior Manager - Project Management.

The role supports a fast-paced environment, collaborates with multiple internal functions, and helps deliver safety-focused, on-time, within-budget project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge of PMBOK project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of assigned projects and proactively communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
• Follow and establish necessary programs and processes to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within specifications and budget.
• Monitor and mitigate risks throughout execution; identify and manage issues.
• Monitor deliverables quality and engage subject matter experts on specifications.
• Provide periodic status reports to stakeholders as requested.
• Engage with Reactor Operations, Facility Operations, Health Physics and Safety, Production, and other internal MURR functions.
• Interface with PDC to ensure timely completion of projects and address risks and issues proactively.
• Build strong relationships with Campus facility group to meet MURR objectives within University guidelines.
