Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia seeks a Workforce Development Program Director for MURR to lead strategic workforce initiatives across nuclear science and radiochemistry. The role shapes educational programs, partnerships with academia, industry, and government, and oversight of national education efforts tied to MURR’s expanding mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline.
• Experience developing and managing workforce development or educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the MURR Nuclear Scholars Summer Academy, including student recruitment, mentor coordination, educational programming, and program assessment.
• Serve as MURR's liaison with College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, and other units to develop interdisciplinary partnerships and workforce initiatives.
• Organize and lead educational tours of MURR for students, educators, officials, industry representatives, and community organizations.
• Develop and direct an industry-focused Nuclear Workforce Development Bootcamp covering foundational nuclear science, safety, radiochemistry, isotope production, and radiochemical manufacturing.
