Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Shop Technician II to support Rotating Equipment Services at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. Responsibilities include machining, assembly, repair and refurbishment of components, with on-site work five days a week.

The role requires electrical, mechanical and inspection skills, plus the ability to work safely and follow nuclear service procedures. This is a hands-on position at a nuclear equipment repair site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.
• Journeyman papers in electrical or machining is preferred
• Ability to be on site 5 days per week to include weekends

Responsibilities

• Machining, mechanical assembly, equipment repair and refurbishment of components.
• Conduct electrical, mechanical and visual inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Operate machine tools and electrical test equipment in the repair of nuclear equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).
• Set up and operate drill presses, lathes and milling machines.
• Report to the RES Shop Supervisor at Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA; on-site 5 days per week.
