Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking an Engineering Supervisor (EPU) in Central Design to lead design products for Extended Power Uprate projects across SNC locations. The role involves providing technical direction, supervising staff, and ensuring quality and policy compliance.

Travel to nuclear plants and vendor meetings is expected. Qualified candidates will hold a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 8 years in nuclear power, plus supervisory and design experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• An advanced degree and/or a PE license is preferred.
• 8 years of experience in nuclear power.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Previous design experience is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of nuclear plant processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and oversight of design products for Extended Power Uprate projects.
• Supervise assigned personnel, including training, development, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, plant, and department policies/procedures.
• Ensure design changes meet requirements and maintain quality and safety.
