Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Environmental Manager to guide the integration of environmental requirements into planning, permitting, design, construction, and operations on the Hanford WTCC project. You will lead mitigation efforts, provide technical oversight, and coordinate with regulators to ensure all activities meet contract and DOE standards.

Qualifications

• Prior practical work experience in field environments performing the responsibilities.
• Previous environmental compliance experience in the nuclear industry for commercial and/or DOE project activities.
• Ability to plan and schedule assigned work and complete tasks on time.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including permits and regulatory communication.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support safety culture and emphasize safety and quality in work performance.
• Responsible for development and implementation of field environmental compliance and permitting programs.
• Collaborates with engineering, start-up, commissioning, and operations to provide environmental perspective.
• Provides day-to-day direction and technical oversight for environmental staff.
• Conducts and/or oversees required environmental reporting activities.
• Performs and/or monitors field execution activities and corrective action management.
• Provides field support for regulatory agency inspections.
• Interfaces with Bechtel and WTCC management to incorporate environmental requirements during start-up and operations.
• Coordinates environmental activities with functional managers to meet project requirements.
• Interfaces with regulatory agencies for environmental compliance and permitting activities.
