Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company is seeking an engineer to create testing and acceptance criteria for parts used by external nuclear facilities, ensuring safety functions are met. This role supports the centralized test facility with procurement engineering evaluations and proper design information from plant changes and licensing documents.

The engineer will apply codes and standards, maintain design margins, and manage cost, timeliness, and quality of engineering products to fulfill material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience: 2+ years.
• Nuclear experience: 0+ years.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost-effective recommendations.
• Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility.
• Prepares engineering documentation and assists with licensing and other regulatory proceedings.
• Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
