Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company is seeking an engineer to translate plant design information into testing, inspection, and acceptance criteria for parts and materials used in external nuclear facilities. The role supports our centralized test facility and ensures items perform nuclear safety functions.

You will develop cost-effective procurement engineering packages, select critical attributes for testing, maintain design basis, and apply relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Nuclear experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost-effective recommendations.
• Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility.
• Prepares engineering documentation and assists with technical support for licensing and other regulatory proceedings.
• Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
