Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering required.
• M.S. in Engineering may be considered in lieu of the B.S.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience for Nuclear Engineer I; 2–4 years for Nuclear Engineer II with at least 1 year nuclear experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform transient thermal hydraulic simulations for all PWR Duke reactors using RETRAN-3D and VIPRE-01.
• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain computer codes used in safety analysis.
• Collaborate with Duke Energy, vendors, and regulatory personnel.
• Participate in technical training activities.
• Assist in License Amendment Requests (LAR) and 50.59 evaluations.
