Job summary

The Davis Companies is seeking a mechanical engineer to advance fracture mechanics and structural integrity within nuclear-related projects. You will perform flaw evaluations, support inspection planning, and prepare calculations and reports to justify fitness-for-service.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of hands-on experience, a mechanical, nuclear, or electrical engineering degree, and familiarity with ASME XI and tools like ANSYS or Python. This role requires US citizenship or a Greencard.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of hands-on experience
• Background in fracture mechanics, stress analysis, structural integrity, materials, or nuclear engineering
• Familiarity with ASME Section XI preferred
• Experience with ANSYS, ABAQUS, FEA, MathCAD, Python, or similar engineering tools is a plus
• Strong communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills

• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Electrical Engineering (other related engineering degrees considered) with 3-5 years of hands on experience
• Background in fracture mechanics, stress analysis, structural integrity, materials, or nuclear engineering
• Familiarity with ASME Section XI preferred
