Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Perry, Ohio, seeks an Electrical/I&C Engineer to provide technical expertise across nuclear plant systems, including transmitters, control boards, relays, and radiation monitors. The role supports safe, reliable plant operation and emergent issue resolution.

The incumbent will troubleshoot complex issues, perform analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate projects through completion while adhering to safety policies. Nuclear experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Physical ability to support plant walkdowns and inspections.
• Proficiency with engineering software and drawing interpretation.
• 2+ years of related experience; 6+ years preferred.
• Nuclear industry experience is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Support resolution of emergent, short-cycle engineering work to protect the work week schedule.
• Serve as engineering point of contact for online work week schedule and Holds resolution.
• Provide input for Operability evaluations and post-work testing.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis (e.g., FMEA).
• Prepare technical reports with recommendations for issue resolution.
